Introducing the Partners in Practice Program

Whether you're preparing for your first leadership role or have years of experience leading a medical practice, every healthcare leader benefits from having someone they can learn from, challenge ideas with, and grow alongside. That's why Carolinas MGMA is excited to launch Partners in Practice, a leadership development experience within our Emerging Leaders Program designed to connect healthcare leaders through meaningful one-on-one relationships focused on leadership growth.

Partners in Practice is built on the belief that every participant brings valuable perspectives, experiences, and ideas. Experienced healthcare leaders have an opportunity to invest in the next generation, while emerging leaders can accelerate their growth through meaningful professional relationships. More than a traditional mentoring program, Partners in Practice is designed as a professional partnership where both participants learn from one another through shared experiences, thoughtful conversation, and mutual support.

From September 2026 through March 2027, participants will be thoughtfully matched based on their professional background, career interests, and leadership goals. Partners will meet approximately once a month, either virtually or in person, to discuss real leadership challenges, share experiences, exchange ideas, and support one another's growth. To help guide conversations, Carolinas MGMA will provide optional monthly discussion guides covering topics such as resilience, communication, relationship building, leading through change, healthcare finance and operations, and career development.

Whether you're seeking guidance, looking to expand your network, or ready to invest in the next generation of healthcare leaders, Partners in Practice offers a valuable opportunity to learn, grow, and build lasting professional connections.
