The Carolinas Medical Group Management Association (Carolinas MGMA) is proud to partner with First Citizens Bank to present the Practice of the Year Award, to be celebrated on the evening of Thursday, September 18th at the Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort in Myrtle Beach, SC, during the Carolinas MGMA Fall Conference.

This award recognizes a medical group practice that has made a significant contribution to their community, patients, and/or staff through volunteer work, indigent clinics, fundraisers, staff wellness programs, community clean-ups, community screenings, and education (internal & external), etc.

Award recipient will receive:

• An attractive award piece,
• A donation to be made in the practice’s name to their charity of choice,
• Public recognition at Carolinas MGMA’s Fall Conference,
• Promotion through a press release to national trade and consumer media, and
• Recognition on the Carolinas MGMA e-news site, Carolinas MGMA News.

	Administrator of the Year Award Terry McLane, MBA, MFA The Administrator of the Year award, presented by Curi, honors a medical practice administrator who has demonstrated exceptional leadership and management proficiency, and who has helped enhance the effectiveness of healthcare delivery in North Carolina.
	Meritorious Service Award Tracey Martin, CPA Congratulations to Tracey Martin, CPA, our 2025 Meritorious Service Award winner. This award is given for outstanding service and contribution to the Carolinas MGMA, its members, and medical practice management.
	President's Award Stephen Fogg Congratulations to Stephen Fogg of Fogg Media for receiving the Spring Conference President's Award. This Award is given to a member of Carolinas MGMA for outstanding service and contribution to the association, its members, and medical practice management.

2024 Award Winners

	President's Award Chris Weathington, MHA Congratulations to Chris Weathington, MHA, Director, Practice Support, NC AHEC, our 2024 Carolinas MGMA President's Award recipient. The President's Award is given to a member of Carolinas MGMA for outstanding service and contribution to the association, its members, and medical practice management. Thank you, Chris, for all you do for Carolinas MGMA and healthcare leaders in North Carolina.
	Practice of the Year Presented by First Citizens Bank Digestive Health Specialists, P.A. Congratulations to Digestive Health Specialists, P.A., of Winston-Salem, our 2024 Carolinas MGMA Practice of the Year. This award recognizes a medical group practice that has significantly contributed to their community, patients, and/or staff through volunteer work, indigent clinics, fundraisers, staff wellness programs, and more.
	Kim Harrah Becker Volunteer Award Wes Stanley, AIF, CPFA The Kim Harrah Becker Volunteer Award highlights the true meaning of volunteerism for the Carolinas MGMA. Wes Stanley has been co-chair of the Affiliate Development Committee for many years, is a past president of the Greensboro chapter, and is a tireless champion of Carolinas MGMA and its many programs and events.
	Administrator of the Year, sponsored by Curi Todd Pittman, CMPE The Administrator of the Year award, sponsored by Curi, honors a medical practice administrator who has demonstrated exceptional leadership and management proficiency and helped enhance healthcare delivery's effectiveness in North Carolina. The 2024 award was presented to Todd Pittman, CMPE, CEO of Digestive Health Specialists. Access the press release here.
	Meritorious Service Award Mary Cloninger, MBA The Meritorious Service Award recognizes outstanding service and contribution to the Carolinas MGMA, its members, and medical practice management. In 2024, Mary Cloninger, MBA, received the award at the Annual Conference in Wilmington, NC, for her years of service to the Carolinas MGMA in numerous roles and on countless tasks.
